Blake and Jess Have a Party

Blake and I invited our closest family and friends to our Engagement Party. We originally had planned to have the party at our home. As many of you know we have had several issues with our pool this summer, as well as the past. So, our close friend Susan offered to let us have the party at her gorgeous home. We decided that would be perfect!

The Invitation

We placed our entire party in her hands, with complete confidence too. The night before the party Blake and I went over to help set up as much as we could. Meagan and Bailey came to help! We headed home after setting up and grubbing on pizza.
Susan and Megs taking a break from setting up tables and chairs.
Griffin even helped out.
Me, Meg, and Blake after setting up.
Two of my favorites, Blake and Bailey.

The next day was party time. Susan and her husband Mike, along with the help of others, had put together the perfect party. We arrived to a gorgeous set-up, a live musician, and our wonderful family and friends.  We had great food and great fun!

Thank You From Blake and Jess

As you can see our party was a great success. Blake and I cannot thank Susan and Mike Renegar enough for all of the time and thought they put into our party. Blake and I are very blessed to have each and everyone of our family and friends in our lives. We love each of you and thank you for all of the support and encouragement during the special time in our lives.

Bless - Jess

The Ingredients of the Perfect "Will you be in my bridal party?" Gift

I spent several weeks thinking about how I wanted to ask my bridesmaids to be a part of our special day. I came across some ideas online and tweaked them to what would be perfect for my ladies. As far as Blake's gentleman, I knew they would be happy with anything. At first Blake did not like the idea of getting the guys a gift. I figured if I made it a manly gift he wouldn't mind. Needless to say, he didn't.

Bless - Jess

Ingredients for the Girls:
1 Personalized Card
1 Pair of Bridesmaid panties from Victoria Secret (wasn't even looking for these found them, loved them, bought them, and got a free box for all the girls goodies)
1 Paper doll cut out of all the bridesmaids
1 Luggage Tag
1 Personalized set of tissues to use on the wedding day

A lot of time and love was put into each gift. Lenzy helped me put the paper dolls together.

A glimpse of what the paper dolls were beginning to look like.
Bridesmaid

 A work in progress.

The bridesmaids now have hair. We used a Cricut to make these.

The front of the card said, "I've found a man, but I still need my girls!" Inside of the card was each of the girls personalized letters.

Putting the gifts together...

The free boxes from Victoria Secrets were perfect. I added a blue bow and it fit our wedding color scheme perfectly.

Ingredients for the Boys:
2 Cigars (one for the bachelor party and one for the wedding day)
1 Mini Bottle of Jack Daniels to use at their own discretion
1 Individual paper doll for each groomsmen

The starting point.

Paper doll without hair. This is foreshadowing the groomsmen in 15 years.

The finished product

All ready for the Engagement Party. This is when they will receive their gifts.
